Description
This Bizen sake cup is the work of Mashiro Aiga, a creator known for his uncompromising and spirited pieces. The fine, hard, blue *kase-goma* (stony sesame glaze) is unparalleled, reflecting Aiga-sensei’s dedication to the firing process. Through repeated, delicate firing cycles, he has successfully achieved this stunning *kase-goma* within a specific, relatively low temperature range. The distinctive clay body—which could be described as having a deep rouge hue—is beautiful and creates an exquisite contrast with the blue *kase-goma*.
Signed wooden box (shiho-san style)
