Description

This is a Bizen sake cup by Kosuke Kaneshige, the leader of the Kaneshige school and son of the legendary reviver of Bizen ware, Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige. The fine-textured *kase-goma* (dry sesame glaze) feels as though it is fused to the surface of the clay, offering a sublime experience just by the touch. The understated purple earth tone pairs perfectly with the slightly bluish *kase-goma*, and will gain even more luster and depth when moistened by sake. Combined with its refined and dignified form, this piece is basic yet brimming with multifaceted appeal. Signed wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipping)
