Description

This is a new Bizen sake cup by Go Kaneshige, marking a new chapter in his career following the completion of his anagama kiln in Kugui. It is a straightforward piece with a bold, dignified form complemented by well-melted sesame glaze (goma). The clay body from the base to the lower body and the bottom of the interior has turned a magnificent scarlet color, beautifully illustrating the fascinating transformations that occur within an anagama kiln.
