Description

This is a new Bizen sake flask by Takeshi Kaneshige, marking a new chapter in his career following the milestone of building an anagama kiln in Kukui. The piece features a rounded triangular form reminiscent of Michiaki Kaneshige’s style, with a magnificent kiln transformation brought about by the baptism of fire. The vibrant yellowish "nuke" (clear glaze-like effect) seems to emerge from the very core of the clay, resulting in a finish that profoundly conveys the vitality of the earth itself.
