Description

This is a new sake bottle by Go Kaneshige, marking a new chapter in his career following the completion of his anagama kiln in Kugu. The work is captivating, featuring clear "nuke" (uncovered areas) and the delicate, beautiful kiln-altered aesthetics of "haikaburi" (ash glazing). The ash-covered areas display a complex yet refined transformation, with a blend of matte textures and scorched markings. The faintly colored, exposed clay will absorb sake well, gaining deeper character with every use. Its clean silhouette and meticulously crafted rim are typical of Kaneshige’s style, offering a refreshing and unpretentious elegance that is a pleasure to behold.
