Description

This Bizen tea cup is by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist who was an apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. The piece was fired in a location with excellent airflow, resulting in a striking, bold scarlet hue. Created using a blend of field soil and mountain soil perfected through years of research, it possesses a beautiful texture that is also very pleasant to the touch. The energetic "one-and-a-half-turn" shaved foot, a trademark of Mr. Koriki, is truly impressive, creating a profound world within the confines of a tea cup. Its bold, larger-than-palm size makes it versatile enough to be used for shochu, beer, or other beverages depending on your preference. Paper box
