Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup by Kazuki Nakamura, an artist who carries on the tradition of the master sake vessel makers Rokuro and Shin Nakamura to create deeply flavorful works. It is a magnificent piece with a texture that highlights the quality of the clay, where shades of yellow, brown, and reddish-purple blend together to create a singular harmony. The slightly hard, well-fired texture of the clay and the soft scarlet hues of the "nuke" (uncovered areas) complement each other perfectly. The wine-red clay tone in the interior is also outstanding, displaying a beautiful color reminiscent of a pickled plum.
Signed wooden box (double-slatted lid)
