Description
This Bizen sake flask is the work of Kazuki Nakamura, whose pottery carries on the profound legacy of masters Rokuro and Makoto Nakamura. The piece features the signature "hi-iro" (scarlet) clay favored by the Nakamura family, accented by a rich, well-melted yellow "goma" (sesame) glaze. The hazy, flame-like scarlet hue combined with traces of gold creates a vision of ethereal beauty. Its sturdy, stable form is characteristic of a Bizen flask—designed to keep sake at an ideal temperature, making it a piece that can be enjoyed and seasoned through years of use.
