Bizen sake cup

This is a new Bizen sake cup by Go Kaneshige, who built his kiln in Kugu, where he continues his research and pottery making. This piece was fired with ash intentionally applied to it, and its highlight is the dramatic light-gray ash covering. As this ash-covered kiln transformation was inspired by the morning sun over Kugu Bay, it truly features a vibrant scarlet hue that looks as if it is burning red. The earnest craftsmanship, typical of the sincere Mr. Kaneshige, makes it easy to use and very approachable. Signed wooden box to follow (please note that it will take some time before shipment)
