Description
This is a new mug by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. Despite its thin-walled form, it is fired thoroughly and produces a clear, resonant sound when tapped, a testament to its high-temperature firing. Mr. Baba paid particular attention to the handle, designing it to provide a firm, secure grip that makes it very easy to hold. The design of the mug's surface is also highly elaborate; the surface decorated with liquid slip looks like a sand dune, and holding it in your hand feels as if you are gazing at swirling dust. This is a truly exceptional mug, unparalleled in both design and usability.
