Description

This sake bottle is the work of Kazuhiro Mori, who followed in the footsteps of his father, a man who dedicated his entire life to anagama wood-fired kiln firing, and who himself aspires to recreate the powerful beauty of ancient Bizen pottery through this traditional firing method. It is a meticulously crafted piece, with the body up to the shoulder formed using a plaster mold, and the neck shaped on a potter's wheel. The fine-grained Kanpu clay has been fired to an elegant finish, and the matte texture of the *goma* (ash glaze) is truly captivating. By utilizing the advantages of a plaster mold, the body features a subtle twist, enhanced by delicate combing patterns that give it an even more earthenware-like atmosphere. Signed wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipping)
Rim 3.3cm x Body diameter 9.2cm x 9.0cm x Height 11.5cm Capacity approx. 290cc
