Description

This is a Bizen sake cup by Hisanaga Koide, who has made his long-awaited debut after completing a lengthy apprenticeship under Juro Harada. The strong reduction firing has created a unique landscape, adding further depth to the dynamic style inherited from Harada. It features an incredibly rich texture, with white "kase" (dry) ash glaze layered over a well-fired, glassy green sesame glaze, all topped with scorched sesame ash. The "nuke" (clear patch) on the front has taken on a golden sheen due to the reduction, glowing with a pink luster. The interior showcases a metallic, iron-like Shiso-colored glaze combined with green sesame, which serves to further emphasize the clarity of the sake poured into it. Signed wooden box (shiho-san)
