Description
This is a black rectangular plate by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating pieces and firing kilns. With a form reminiscent of a bird's feather and a lustrous black finish, it is a truly innovative work. The cutout design evokes the image of a door opening to let light shine into the darkness, brimming with originality. It is a piece that stirs the poetic imagination, characteristic of Baba, who is always conceiving and shaping new forms.
