Description

This is a new Bizen hidasuki sake cup by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist and apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. The hidasuki (fire-cord) pattern, with its subtle golden hue, combines with the texture of high-quality rice-field clay fired slowly and thoroughly to create an understated aesthetic that will delight the true connoisseur. Its pristine surface, which looks as if it has barely been fired, seems to emanate the scent of earth and forest. Designed with a generous size that allows you to fully immerse your nose, it is perfect for savoring the rich aroma of sake, and rubbing the cup so that the scent infuses into the clay will make for a truly sublime experience. Though not flashy, it is a profound piece whose melt-in-the-mouth clay texture becomes more captivating the longer you gaze at it. Signed wooden box (shiho-san style)
