Description

This Bizen Hidasuki small bowl is the work of Shusaku Taku, an artist who transforms the everyday emotions he experiences into form, inspired by Bizen ware that has matured alongside the continuous activities of people throughout history. Featuring a translucent white base with a slightly dry texture, this piece boasts a remarkably clean Hidasuki (fire-cord) pattern. True to Taku’s signature style—where he expertly blends various clays to conjure a magical array of Hidasuki effects—this bowl showcases a brilliant, dynamic scarlet pattern against a white surface as refreshing as a freshly laundered shirt. Its comfortable size makes it easy to hold, and it works beautifully as a café au lait bowl or even as a small serving dish.
