Description
This is a *hidatsuki* (fire-cord) cylindrical *katakuchi* (spouted bowl) from Yoshinobu Morimoto's latest exhibition. It showcases a dynamic form that exudes a free and lively spirit, reflecting the sensibilities he has honed through his continuous study of historical Bizen ware. Designed with evening drinks in mind, this piece serves as an accessible vessel that balances a rustic, wabi-sabi aesthetic with practicality and ease of maintenance. It is the perfect choice for those just beginning to explore the world of sake. The ink-like black surface paired with cinnabar-colored *hidatsuki* markings creates a striking effect, as if they are emerging from the very clay itself.
Signed wooden box (shiho-san style)
Diameter 10.3cm x 8.2cm x Height 8.8cm
