Description
This is a Shibu-ori (Oribe-Hidasuki) square plate by Koji Nakahara, who studied under Fumio Kawabata and aims to create works that suit modern life. This "Oribe-Hidasuki" work combines the stain resistance and usability of Oribe glaze with the evolving aesthetic and character development provided by Bizen clay. With its Oribe-reinforced edges and Bizen Hidasuki fire-marking that changes with use, this is a plate you will want to use every day. Designed with storage in mind, its low profile ensures it takes up minimal space on a shelf.
