Description
This Bizen nerikomi (kneaded clay) sake cup in white is by Koji Nakahara, who studied under Fumio Kawabata and aims to create works that suit modern life. He uses eight types of refined Bizen field clay to achieve a magnificent texture and marble-like coloring that feels wonderful to use. The piece features a novel, twisted rectangular prism shape, reflecting the avant-garde style characteristic of the nerikomi technique, which does not rely on a potter's wheel. Furthermore, through research into clay quality and spout design, it offers excellent drip-free pouring, demonstrating that Mr. Nakahara cares as much about usability and storage as he does about aesthetics. The sake cup can be nested inside the simultaneously listed NO3809 sake cup.
