Description
This is an earlier work of a tokkuri (sake bottle) by Go Kaneshige, who established his kiln in Kutsui and continues to pursue research and pottery making. It is an impressive piece with a large, bottle-shaped form featuring golden sesame glaze melted at high temperatures. Lustrous sesame glaze sits atop black spotted sesame, with partial crazing, allowing one to enjoy a rich variety of sesame landscapes. The form is a gentle oval; despite its large size, it is finished to be easy to hold. (*Please note that while there are no signs of use, there is a slight wobble.)
