Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup by Kazuki Nakamura, an artist who carries on the tradition of the legendary sake vessel masters Rokuro and Shin Nakamura to create deeply flavorful works. He has successfully incorporated "red"—one of the colors humans most prefer and use—into his pottery, perfecting its manifestation. The base of the clay is finished in a warm, mellow fired color throughout, and it is impossible for it not to look even more beautiful as the color deepens when moistened with sake during use. Its seemingly rugged form is thick and sturdy, providing a secure grip even for a tipsy hand; it is a vessel crafted by a sake lover for a drinker, designed solely for the convenience of the moment one enjoys a drink.
