Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup by Mashiro Aika, an artist who creates works that are uncompromisingly straightforward and possess true substance. After a long silence, Mashiro Aika has once again surprised us with a work of even greater scale. While maintaining the strongly fired yellow sesame glaze that is his hallmark, he has also succeeded in bringing out just a hint of delicate scarlet. The reverse side also features a rich, expressive clay texture; it is a well-fired, robust body, yet it reveals a wealth of subtle variations, allowing you to discover new changes in color the more you look at it.
