Description

This is a newly kiln-fired Ibe katakuchi (spouted bowl) by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superior aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his handling of clay, firing, and craftsmanship. It features a very deep, blackish-purple surface that looks like concentrated purple, creating the intense contrast characteristic of Morimoto's Ibe ware when accented with vibrant mustard-colored sesame glaze. In addition to the excellent clay texture and firing quality, the form is meticulously crafted, featuring a body that is easy to hold and a beak-like spout that makes it a sight to behold. With a capacity of just over one go (approx. 180ml) and an affordable price, this sake server is highly recommended for those just beginning to enjoy sake. Signed wooden box (shiho-san) included
