Description
This Bizen teacup is by Junpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. Starting this season, the overall design has been changed to a slightly smaller, elegant, four-sided form. After being thrown on the wheel, it is shaped into a square; the blend of circular and square elements, combined with the design of the constricted body, evokes the high dignity of a deep *mukozuke* dish. The crisp yellow sesame glaze (*kigoma*) and the bright brown clay body create a simple, timeless landscape, making it perfect for everyday use.
