Description
This is a brand new Bizen gourd-shaped sake bottle, just out of the kiln from Kazuki Nakamura, an artist who creates deeply evocative works while following in the lineage of the master sake-ware artisans, Rokuro Nakamura and Shin Nakamura. While inheriting the traditions of these master craftsmen, this gourd is filled with the distinct charm characteristic of Kazuki, infusing his own unique aesthetic that sets it apart from his father and grandfather. The vivid, striking "ripe persimmon" scarlet color, combined with the pale, wood-like matte sesame glaze (kase-goma), makes the bottle seem as if it is eagerly waiting to be filled with sake. While its pour is not the sharpest, the surface comes alive with a vibrant, refreshed hue whenever it absorbs a stray drop of sake.
