Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup by Kazuki Nakamura, a creator of profound works who follows in the tradition of the master sake vessel makers Rokuro Nakamura and Shin Nakamura. Drawing on the pottery techniques inherited from his renowned grandfather and father, he masterfully expresses ease of use, the authentic character of earthenware, and the ability to enhance the flavor of sake. This flat, saucer-shaped piece is highly regarded among sake connoisseurs for its quality, allowing one to enjoy the spread of aromas while appreciating the shifting hues of the *hi-iro* (scarlet) coloration. Approximately two-thirds of the outer circumference is colored in this *hi-iro*, allowing you to enjoy the unique way the piece ages through use, which is characteristic of the Nakamura family's work. The interior is dominated by a hard-fired *goma* (sesame glaze), offering a different landscape from the scarlet exterior. (Please note in advance that the base shape may cause the piece to sit slightly unevenly.)
Signed wooden box (double-slat)
