Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup by Kazuki Nakamura, a potter who creates deeply flavorful works while following in the footsteps of the master sake vessel makers, Rokuro Nakamura and Shin Nakamura. While carrying on the tradition of these masters, this sake cup bears the unique mark of Kazuki, infusing his own distinct style that sets him apart from his father and grandfather. It features a low center of gravity and a sturdy base reminiscent of Rokuro Nakamura’s work in his final years, resulting in a generous, relaxed cup that allows the sake to swirl gently. Colored with a refined, matte finish and a soft scarlet hue that seems to emanate from the very core of the clay, it is an understated yet remarkably comfortable vessel to use. The more you use it, the more it will be polished by the sake, deepening its character over time. (Please note: Due to the shape of the foot, the cup may feel slightly unsteady when empty; it will become stable once filled with sake.)
Signed wooden box (two-way sliding lid)
