Description

This is an Oribe Hidasuki plate by Koji Nakahara, who studied under Fumio Kawabata and aims to create crafts that suit contemporary life. The work features Oribe glazing for stain resistance and ease of use, combined with Bizen clay to allow for changes in character and appearance over time. It is meticulously crafted with a sophisticated overall aesthetic, reflecting the skills Nakahara has honed while creating tableware for restaurants and high-end dining establishments. The stylish wax-resist pattern is also compelling, and a single plate is enough to dramatically change the atmosphere of a dining table. It has a moderate weight and feels easy to handle. Paper box
