Description

This is a new Oribe Hidasuki beer glass by Koji Nakahara, a student of Fumio Kawabata who aims to create crafts that suit modern life. This Oribe Hidasuki piece is designed to leverage both the stain resistance and ease of use provided by the Oribe glaze, and the flavor-enhancing properties and evolving character of Bizen clay. The benefits of Bizen clay are preserved in the interior of the glass, while the exterior features a cool-looking Oribe glaze that is perfect for hot summer days, elevating its quality as a beer mug. True to Mr. Nakahara's meticulous craftsmanship—where each piece is made with great time and effort—he has added fine facets and combed patterns to the exterior surface, which improves grip on the Bizen clay section and creates beautiful variations in the shading of the Oribe glaze. The interior showcases the beautiful fire-cord (hidasuki) patterns characteristic of Bizen clay, which will help create a finer, more delicious head of beer foam. Paper box
