Description
Koichiro Isezaki is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He uses a tunnel-shaped kiln called an "anagama."
The overlapping "goma" (ash glaze) that evoke the sense of flames blowing through are wonderful.
The center has a deep, dark brown hue, and the area where the refractory clay is placed appears like a spotlight.
The design is like a smaller chawan (tea bowl).
It is very quiet and calm, yet beautifully spherical.
He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.
He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1996.
He studied ceramics in New York and has been active since 2000.
