Description
Koji Nakahara is a potter who works in two locations, Osaka and Bizen.
He is commissioned to create bespoke tableware for a famous restaurant in Osaka.
In Bizen, he studies Bizen ware under his mentor, Fumio Kawabata.
The subtitle "Nozarashi" refers to being left out in the field.
While the skull and snake alone might look frightening, the frog between them adds a comical touch.
The top of the skull, where the frog sits, can be removed and used as a guinomi sake cup.
As you use it as a guinomi, you become the frog staring at the snake.
He was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1978.
He has been a disciple of Fumio Kawabata since 2001.
