Description

This Guinomi was crafted by Rokuro Nakamura, who is known as a master of sake vessels.
The red clay hue on the front becomes even more beautiful when moistened with sake during use.
The green "Goma" ash glaze on the side also complements the red clay color perfectly.
The unique body design characteristic of the Nakamura family makes it very easy to hold.
I believe this Guinomi was fired when he was approximately 70 years old.

He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1914.
He studied under Toyo Kaneshige starting around 1945 and became a potter.
He passed away in 2004.
