Hello everyone, this is my second blog post of the day.
Mr. Takashi Baba recently built a new kiln, and I had the pleasure of attending its first firing.
The new kiln is about half the size of his previous climbing kiln.

It is a truly magnificent climbing kiln.
It is a magical engine that brings Mr. Baba’s overflowing ideas to life.

The kiln itself slowly transforms as it is fired repeatedly.
Through repeated cycles of expansion and contraction, the bricks absorb ash and pathways for the flames are etched onto the kiln floor.
"What kind of creations will be born from this kiln?"
Standing before a new kiln always makes me wonder.
Looking through the stoke hole, the interior is dimly lit by the faint light filtering through the side vents.
Once the fire is lit, this space becomes inaccessible to humans;
for now, only dust motes dance slowly in the silence.
I have received many wonderful pieces from the first firing, which I look forward to introducing on the blog and website soon.
