Hello everyone, how are you doing?
The Kano Museum of Art is currently holding an exhibition on the world of Fushina-yaki pottery.
This exhibition traces the history of Fushina-yaki, a representative pottery of the Izumo region in Shimane Prefecture, from the Edo period to the present day.
A selection from our Bizen-yaki collection is also on display,
making for a wonderful collaboration between these two long-standing pottery traditions.
On November 22nd, a special lecture will be held by the current Unzen Tsuchiya.
Additionally, on November 29th, there will be a tea ceremony using a tessa (iron-sand) tea bowl by Shoji Hamada and a tea bowl by Ichiraku Kuroi,
which promises to be another lovely collaboration.
We invite you all to come and visit us.
